If you are interested in the opportunity below, please contact Kyle Petersen (firstname.lastname@example.org) or another art faculty member. We need to provide a headcount by Wednesday morning.
We have student opportunity for this Thursday, February 2. Professor Linny Frickman (Colorado State University) is the curator of the exhibition Scrimmage: Football in American Art from the Civil War to the Present, and will be visiting the Figge Art Museum at the end of the week. She is interested in giving a presentation about the exhibition to college-aged students around 1:30 pm at the Figge. In this presentation, she will talk about the intersections of art and sport, as demonstrated by the artworks in the exhibition. Linny's research also crosses over to issues about racism and sexism in sport, and the topic may interest other departments beyond the arts. Her presentation is one that she has shared with college students before, and with great success.
